Perfect for needle and wet felting, blending into custom art batts or rolags, or curating custom colorways for larger spinning projects destined for knitting, crochet, or weaving.

This fiber base is a UK-milled top made from 100% Falkland wool. Falkland is not a breed but a blend made on the Falkland Islands of 25% Polwarth and 75% Merino combed into top.

Great for beginner spinning!

Dyed using my "Stained Glass" method where I dye in the braid so when the braid is undone you will be surprised with tones and colors that aren't seen from the outside of the braid. When spun the color will be heathered rather than solid. The variety of colors is ideal for wool painting and blending with depth and dimension.

- Staple Length: Approximately 3 - 4 inches
- Origin: Falkland Islands
- Texture: 20 - 22 micron. Extra soft and squishy, with plenty of life and body and loft when spun. Similar to Merino but with more personality. 

This blend is especially well suited for wool painting, needle felting, art batts, rolags, and other creative fiber arts where a soft and fine wool finish is desired.

You will receive one hand-dyed braid from the batch shown. Each braid is individually hand dyed, making every one unique with subtle variations in color and pattern. Please note that colors may appear slightly different in person due to differences in screen settings and device displays.
