These are very rare naturally gold cocoons collected in the wild in Indonesia. They are made from 100% Cricula Silk.
You will receive a quarter of an ounce (6.8 grams) of cocoons for embellishing art yarn. I have used the tiny lace holes to insert a needle and thread and include this texture in my plied yarns. These cocoons are surprisingly strong. They are often used in jewelry making and nuno felting. You can also string them to randomly scatter or cluster to weave into the weft of freeform or saori cloth a tapestry weaving.
