We would love to meet you and see what projects you are working on. We are not your "normal" fiber arts group. Normal is a setting on a dryer.

The Easiest Knitting Class Ever!

In this class you will learn how to knit a hat. You can choose to knit a baby hat, kids hat, or an adult hat. And you can choose 3 ways to finish your hat!! You can make a 3-corner hat, a easy beanie hat, or a square hat. We may also make pompoms and tassels to give the hats personality. Be as creative as you want, or as simple as you want!! No two hats will be the same because no two knitters are the same. You will learn the skills you need to make hats that you like!!
The skills you learn at this class can also be used for knitting baby cocoons, tube-scarves, and hats of all sizes in just 4 steps on real bamboo knitting needles. You will learn how to begin the hat by casting-on stitches, how knit in the round on circular needles, and how to end the hat by binding off or decreasing stitches. This means we will be knitting a tube instead of a flat rectangle. No scary patterns or purling or confusion.
You will also learn how to read a yarn label. You will learn how to determine how many stitches you need to make a hat for a baby, toddler, teen, or adult without ever looking at a pattern.
You will receive 1 skein of bulky yarn and 1 set of bamboo circular needles that can be used in making all sizes of chunky and bulky yarn hats. You take home the needles and hats you make, and any extra yarn you may have. Consider your holiday shopping done!! Once you know how to make hats, you'll be set for gifts for life!!

Take an easy 1 HOUR Recycled Yarn Class!! What you learn in this class will pay for itself in the $$$ you will save buying retail yarn. Shopping for yarn can be expensive, especially if you like natural fibers like alpaca and angora. Sweaters made from Cashmere, Angora, Alpaca, Silk, and Llama can often be found at Thrift Stores for under $10. And that same sweater, when unraveled, can result in over $200 value of yarn if you were to buy it at a local yarn store!!
Now you can make scarves, hats, and cowls with fine natural fibers for a fraction of the price. Ashley will bring a sweater (acrylic/mystery yarn) for each person i to recycle. You keep the yarn and the know-how. Soon your boring stash will be full of exquisite luxury fibers and art yarns that you've always dreamed of.

Treat yourself to a relaxing creative outlet!! Spinning yarn is a peaceful and therapeutic craft that you can turn into crochet or hand knit items for yourself and loved ones. Now is the time to learn!! For a fraction of the price you can get a private spinning lesson. You will receive a handmade solid wood drop spindle (value $15) and 2 ounces of wool roving. This ancient craft is simple and portable. Bring your drop spindle to the beach and spin yarn while you watch the sun set over the ocean. Spin in front of the TV. Your hands can always be creative.
